Hi has anyone recently installed a sem and fitted standard contacts (door/window) without resistors and then had reported trouble on all inputs that have been connected once programmed with comfigurator and how it was resolved.
Thanks in advance

Have you set the zone shunts to NO EOL ie Closer to terminal blocks for each zone?
Is the SEM ID set to 1? If the SEM cannnot be found by Comfort and reports Communications failure then zpne troubles will report as well

Hi
The shunts are set at A,B, & C for the id (1)
and the shunts for the contacts are set closest to the connectors (default position) and in comfigurator the slave id is set at 1
cables connected ka kb com 12v to comfort.
When programming any of the zones speaker reports any connected Zone as trouble

Remove the wires from the slave zones
Does the trouble go away?
Try shorting and opening the zones with a wire
If so then there is a problem with what is connected to the zones
There should be no voltage connected to the zones, it should just be open/close contacts

One of the first things I tried was to leave open and short out and still the same issue occurs, their is no voltage on the contacts as just tested with multimeter also have now tried it with the rs cable (disconnected cat5 cable) and the same thing applies as soon as you program for a zone it reports trouble with that zone regardless of what you setting you give that zone ie window/door monitor ect
