DS01/DS02 Mic cannot be heard on the keypad

If the Door station Mic using DS01 or DS02 cannot be heard on the keypad, but the keypad mic can be heard on the door station, please check the shunt J6 on the DM02
The shunt should be inserted on J6. The location of J6 is shown below
Note that older versions of the DM02 do not have the J6 shunt. J6 is unshunted for certain models of 3rd party door station but most need to have J6 shunted

J6 shunt should be removed for DP03X, inserted for DS01/DS02

J5 Shunt should be connected on DP03X and removed for DS01/DS02

The problem where Door Station microphone  cannot be heard on the Keypad but Keypad microphone can be heard on the Door Station can also be due to the Tuning Parameters

Tuning Parameter 81 (AFE DP MIC GAIN KP-DP INTERCOM) was normally 3, it should be increased to 6. This increases  the volume from DP Mic to Keypad






The default templates have also been updated to include this change

To Update the default templates, open Comfigurator, go to File Menu >> Update Defaults

Tuning Parameter 81 (AFE DP MIC GAIN KP-DP INTERCOM)  is the  volume from DP Mic to Keypad.  Preferred value = 6 for DS01


Tuning Parameter 79 (AFE KP MIC GAIN KP-DP INTERCOM)  is the volume from KP Mic to Door station. Preferred value = 10 for DS01

Increase the appropriate parameter to increase the volume of each direction. However too much increase in volume may cause howling. Settle on a value which results in audible volume in each direction without howling
