Silent Night Set

Hi,

How do we set a comfort alarm systems up  to set silently at night once we have

requested a night setting.  What we would like is that when the customer retires for the evening he can press the nigt set button on his keypad or form his local telephone the system starts arming but silently then after the countdown timer there is a confirmation in a word phrase saying night mode.

I seem to remeber some years ago this was the case in an earleir version of comfort around 1999.

The above is typical of most security systems on the market these days where the system allows you to silently set the alarm and then a confirmed tone at the end of the exit time.

please let us know how to achieve this

You could remove the Sound Type to the Siren Type \"Arming Tone\" to remove the beeps.

It is not clear from your email what it is that you want silent. Are you hearing the Bell (siren) or the beeps from the internal speaker, or the beeps on the keypad?

You can set the Duration of the Nigjt Arned sirentype to a small number say 0.1 seconds. IT may not accept 0

I have the same problem - I would like when the user presses the night mode Key on the KP04 to have no beeps on the keypad or the internal speaker. I have set the night armed siren type to 0.1 seconds just to be sure but this is not the siren type that is being played. In comfigurator this siren type is not blue meaning there are no references to to it.

It appears from some testing that the arming tone siren type is being used. If I change this then I will get no entry or exit noises at all. However I only want to silence night arming.

Having the \"night mode\" phrase spoken at the end of the arming delay is OK.

A suggestion: you can disable the arming tone siren type and assign another unused siren type for entry alert (e.g. ring siren type). This way you can have no beeps on the keypad or internal speaker; and will have \"night mode\" phrase spoken at the end of the arming delay.

Note that arming tone sound type is SlowBeeps so by selecting 0 for tone 1 frequency of SlowBeeps sound type you disable this beeping sound when arming. Next step is to modify the sound type setting for ring similar to that of default SlowBeeps so that you will hear the same arming tone you will normally hear for entry alert. For exit there will be no beeping tone but the phrase \"Please Exit\" will be anounced repeatedly. Is this solution the one you need?

Hi everyone,

I have solved this by creating tow responses.

The first response is to set Off the Keypad(s) Announcements.

The second response is to set On the Keypad(s) Announcements.

I\'ve tried to select the Off response on the Night mode in the Miscellaneous events but it didn\'t work as the response was only executed after the mode changed and so the beeps were still heard.

So the best way is to chose a Time Schedule to set Off and On the Keypads. This way between a certain hour in the night and a certain hour in the morning the beeps will not be heard.

Don\'t forget to chose the On response in the Alarm Settings as you need to hear the announcements when Comfort goes into Alarm.
