Planning on brining Comfort up to date from old f/w
#1
I\'m after confirmation that this is the right approach. I stopped updating the firmwares some time ago as it was cumbersome to say the least with cables. I have :

Comfort II Ultra  6.011 (has the daughterboard CPU)
UCM 10   6.002
CBUS UCM   5.217
Universal UCM  6.003

Am I right in thinking I should:
1. With the cable from one of the UCMs, upgrade the Ultra firmware firs
t2. With the cable from one of the UCMs, upgrade the other UCMs
3. Put the cable into one of the recently updated UCMs and update the last UCM.
Does that sound about right?
Thanks

If your comfort and UCM iss at least Firmware version 6, then you do not need to use the firmware upgrade cable at all.
It is only with firmware v5 that you need to use the firmware upgrade cable.

See http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/3400.html for how to upgrade firmware for Comfort and UCMs without the UCM firmware programming cable

Your steps should be
  1. Upgrade the UCM v6 to version 7 by right clicking on the UCM in the Modules tab and selecting \"Check for Upgrades\" You will be asked to press F0 on the keypad to authorise this
  2. Upgrade the Comfort to versiom 7 by right clicking on Controller in the Modules tab and selecting \"Check for Upgrades\"
  3. Upgrade Universal to version 7 by right clicking on the UCM/Univeersal  in the Modules tab and selecting \"Check for Upgrades\"
  4. To upgrade the Cbus ucm 5.121 you will need the Firmwqare programming cable. For UCM/cbus v1 , you can upgrade to version 6 which is the latest. UCM/Cbus2 is the new version of UCM/Cbus which has better support and mapping of Cbus see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum11/3755.html
