Reminder messages play back on phone.

Just to wonder if and how the Reminder messages can be played back on the telephone (connected to comfort\' tel-out) as in 2006 brochure - \"Time Programs and Reminders\":

\"...You can even record Reminder Messages to be played back on any keypad or telephone in the home, ...\"

The user has to record a reminder message and specify the time which it is to be played as well as the day of week. Refer to the User Manual on the section on Reminder Message for greater detail.

This feature can be used to play a message on the phone,  if someone presses the doorbell.   Thus if the user is on the phone, and the door bell is pressed,  the home owner gets to know that someone is at the door,  even if they are out of hearing range from a keypad.

The trick is to, record  a reminder message saying \"There is someone at the door\", check the \"Hear announcements on phone\" configuration flags,  and in a response called from the doorbell response do the following.

If phone is off hook

then

play reminder message on all keypads

end if

 

This works a treat.  Be aware of the bug in 2.1.2 that messages up the code for all keypads.  Refer to the ACTIONS manual for what the correct paramater for this action code should be.

I got it works. Just to take note on below for getting reminder playback on phone:

Within comfigurator:

i) Use \"Reminders\" function with setting for time and date (not \"Time programs\" with response that playing reminder number-- on keypad number -- ....)

ii) Have to check the \"Hear announcements on phone\" flag.
