Comfort Versions (what's mine?)
#1
Hi,

Apologies if this is a daft quesiton, but I have checked the FAQ\'s and can\'t work this out for myself...(having managed to get very confused with the different Comfort I/II systems, Pro/Ultra/Entry versions, FS numbers etc).

I have a Comfort alarm system + UCM and have just started to use Comfigurator (a long\'ish item since I last did).

What I want to know is what default template I should use in Comfiguration (i.e. Comfort Pro, Ultra, Entry etc)...

So (I guess) effectively what I\'m asking is what version of Comfort do I have? :?

My system details are as follows:
 • PCB Info: PC01-001E Rev E(6)
 • Firmware: Outside 4.207
 • UCM: 5.147
Also what are my upgrade options (from a firmware perspective)?

And I\'m using Comfigurator 1.6.10, is this the recommended version with my setup?

Many thanks in advance,

Ian

Your have Comfort I PRO (Outside 4.207) and UCM05 (5.147)
You can use Comfigurator 2.2.3 to program your system or the new Comfigurator 3 when it is released (this is under beta test)

Comfort I can be upgraded to  the final version Ultra I 4.204 (NOTE should be 4.234)   by changing the U1 IC (the one with the label 4.207)

There are very attractive upgrade packages which will upgrade to Comfort II Ultra, see distributor websites at the Cbus Shop and the Smart Power Shop  It gives you a Comfort II PCB with KP04, UCM05 for £261.91 (not inc VAT) in exchange for the Comfort 1 PCB Unfortunately you have a UCM05 but anitheer may come in handy or you can sell the one you have. Comfort II firmware can be upgraded using UCM05.
UCM05 firmware can be upgraded by using another UCM05

Hi,

Thanks for the information, that\'s just what I needed to know.

Regarding the final version of Comfort I can you please reconfirm the latest firmware version (your post said 4.204)?  Isn\'t the final version 4.234?

Cheers Ian

One other question regarding your recommendation to use version 2.x of Comfigurator.

Is this the recommendation for my version of the system?

I seem to remeber that I have previously been advised to use 1.6.10, based on the firmware version of my system.

Thanks again,

Ian

You can continue to use 1.6 if that has no problem. if you upgrade, then use the latest Comfigurator
