Not able to phone in when alarm has been triggered
#11
This may be due to the firmware 5.164 that you are using. When the alarm dials out, you are able to hear the siren on the phone, and this affects the DT<F detection of certain keys. This has in fact been fixed in later firmware versions.
Can you upgrade the firmware to ULT 5.204 which can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_fir...ory_id=101

In the new version, you will nnot be able to hear the siren sound on the phone and acn sign in easily during an alarm

Instructions for upgrading firmwware can be found at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

You need a UCM formwar 5.178 to support the firmware upgrade of Comfort

Hi
Do you still have this problem?
Do you have a Speaker connected to the SPK terminals to act as the siren?

Sorry, Chiu, was caught up with something else.

Well, I upgraded Comfort\'s firmware to the latest one (206) and I still can hear the siren sound from the phone (and no, I am not in the house when the alarm is triggered ;-)

Tried again to increase the DTMF sensitivity but no luck there either.

There is nothing plugged to the SPK terminal

In other words, I am still on square one, same problem; any other suggestions (besides unplugging my siren Smile ?!

What type of siren do you use? Can you give the manufacturer and model number?

I have a generic 1-tone, 12V, 15W siren, with code SD22;the product webpage is

I\'ve used two cores of a CAT5 cable to connect it, with another two cores for the strobe.

Hi, Chiu, just to let you know that the latest firmware 511 solved my problem: I can now sign in when Comfort calls me while at an alarm state, and I can call Comfort and sign in too during an alarm. I must just wait for the silent moments during the siren alarm. Thanks again! Smile
