change door phone "wording" as announced on phone
#1
Is it possible to change it so that instead of \"door bell 1\" or \"door bell 2\" instead i can choose custom wording for example \"gate bell\" or \"front door bell\" ?

Sorry to say there is no way to change it
You will have to remember the locations of the 2 door stations

isn\'t this possibly the easiest ever request for enhancement you might see? ;o)

It is not as simple as it seems, unfortunately.

There are 3 door stations so each description has to be recorded and assigned to the door, which is not an easy task for the benefit to be gained

Thanks for your suggestion anyway

but you can do this for each zone so the programming knowledge is already there, surely it wouldn;t be hard to use this same \"code\" for doorphone names?

I don\'t think i\'m asking too much...

I would not say it is \"hard\" to do it, however it does take time and the whole system must be tested, not just what is  changed, so we need enough justification to take it on, because any task that we do will use up resources that can be devoted to other tasks of which there are many being lined up

In the case of Door stations, if a user has 2, I dont think it is difficult to remember which is 1 and which is 2 so the benefit to most users is questionable

Perhaps you can explain the benefit to you?
Is hearing \"Door station 1\" or \"Door Station 2\" a big problem?

In the case of zones, there are up to 64 so the words for these are definately necessary

in fairness for me, its no issue, however for the wife its always \"i don\'t remember which is which\" - i guess having it in spoken form is far easier for the non technical user to know whats going on.

Its all about the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) - if it works and she accepts, i can buy more!

I suggest you use an action to play a reminder message on the keypad based on which door station button was pressed, eg Reminder 1 record \"front door\", reminder 2 record \"back door\"
