Detailed Heating Application Using Comfort
#11
I forgot to answer about \'good old relays\'.

Yes that is definitely an option but during development the C-Bus indicators were very useful.

One method of manual override is just to press the buttons on each relevant relay. That was also useful during development and testing given it is hard to see solenoid state.

So to anyone else I would say yes consider (solid state) relays but more wires and wiring time and then more flags to check rather than Counter xx = 0 or 255

8 Finder din rail relays would be very compact (50mm?) and I think have indicators.

If we are using outputs in this example then combined with other requirements we would be over 16 so would then need an expansion card (LEM or RIO).

That is a very impressive programming job by Nigel, congratulations for making it work. It must have taken a lot of design and testing.

Next time, the built in Thermostat function  in Comfigurator 3.7.6 and Ultra 7.039 should make your job much easier as it removes the need for programming of the action of the thermostat comparison and setpoints

IMPORTANT

Please note my Detailed Heating Application will NOT work with Comfort Firmware 7.010 and later as the sensor maths has been changed.
