Battery back and battery warning

Hi all this is my first post so please be kind. 

I attended a site with a comfort alarm that had started displaying a battery warning and subsequently dialling out to the the client at some god awful times in the morning. The system was installed in 2008 so it seemed like a simple task of sticking in a couple of new batteries hitting reset with a check over of the system and brush off a few cobwebs. However this was not the case. 

With the new batteries installed it fails the battery check and with the mains power disconnected after 10-15 seconds the external bell box triggers, ALL LED\'s on both pcb\'s extinguish, the keypads go off and so do all of the PIR\'s. Strange. 

So here is what I tested and I hope someone can shed some light on our situation. 
2 new fully charged and tested batteries. 
Battery 1 = 13.27v no load across terminals     13.27v end of plug for pcb     12.7v steady after 5-10minutes connected to pcb without mains supply

Battery 2= 13.33v no load across terminals   13.33v at end of plug for pcb  11.98v steady after 5-10 minutes connected to pcb without mains supply


Voltage on terminals with mains supply on is around 13.97v on both main and slave board. LP51 and LP52 appear to be ok with no illumination and don\'t look \"burnt out\"


Very similar results across the slave board.   


Sadly I didn\'t get the board number but I do recall the inside of the lid stating a cp9000 hopefully this is enough.

Can you check what is the voltage at the battery terminals with mains power on and battery disconnected? If there is no voltage it means the battery is not being charged

If there is no voltage when the mains is switched off, the circuit connecting the battery to the system is probably damaged.

You can send it for repair or upgrade the CM9000 PCB.

Thank you for the reply Slychiu. 
Theres is 13.97v at the battery terminals with mains on indicating the battery is charging. However would appear there is something stopping the power returning to the system from the battery.

Wild shot in the dark but I\'ve had problems like this in the past and it turned out the connector on the pcb was making bad contact with the cable. I unplugged replugged a couple of times and then all was fine and dandy again! Or maybe at the spade connector ends?

Yes, check for loose connectionsIf the problem still maintains then there is a fault

Yes the connections have been tested both ends and no obvious physical fault can be identified. Are you suggesting there is a fault with the main board itself?

Is it necessary to connect 2 batteries to Comfort? How did you connect them, in parallel? If that is the case, then both batteries should show the same voltage in measurements, whereas in your results they seem to be different
Can you try with 1 battery?
Do you have 2 batteries connected to the slave as well? 

can you also disconnectt the slave and test the Comfort on its own with the battery?switch off the mains power with one battery connected.if the Comfort loses power it means there is a fault on the board, and it must be sent for repair

No. There is a master and slave board. Each one has its own battery hence the two results. I tested both and provided the results. 
If I turned the mains off to the Master the bell box sounds and led\'s on the pcb go off along with everything else. The voltages after doing this test twice  (swapping the batteries in the boards over) are detailed in my first post. 
As far as I my knowledge allows me to test at the moment I am inclined to believe there is no voltage passing back through the board to the system side. Even though there is a charge voltage at the battery from the pcb and obvious load being put onto the battery after the mains power has been turned off.

Unfortunately there is probably a fault in the Comfort PCB and it needs to be sent for repair or upgrade
