Comfort Connectvity Issues
#1
I am getting my comfort ready for house and we had it all renovated and extended. I have a Comfort II Ultra, version 8.013, UCM type 10 version 7.225. I also have UCMPi

I wanted to reset the system so I can start fresh for the renovated house. I tried the reset button on the main board for 15sec and I then got intermittenent connectivty with comfigurator.

Comfort Server Manager see's the UCM, has a DCHP IP address etc. I have tried host name and IP address in the settings but still very very intermittent. I have managed to write a new file (Menu File, New) and managed to write that to comfort, and eventaully managed to read that from comfort to confirm it is fresh

Using comfigurator v4.0.4.0 and this intermittent connectivty remains. Maybe sometimes it works.

I have disconnected the UCMPi from the bus to remove any conflicts with ports etc, powered on/off the comfort panel but still no joy.

I have not reset the UCM ETH03

Please can you help ?  I would like to get the system setup for PIRS and door keypads, plug the UBMPi back in

If you cannot connecty to comfort by ETH03 it may be a network problem. InComfort server manager, check that you see the IP address. Refresh several timews, does the IP stay the same or disappear?

Chiu - Thank you. I am still struggling for some reason. Comfort Server Manager shows te IP Address, refresh few times and IP address stays same.

I keep getting "Failed to connect"

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So here is the latest and any advice would be apprecaited.

I can connect intermittently and when I do eveything works. If I try to write/read it will connect and update as needed. After a while it will stop connecting.

What I have noticed is when i go into Comfort Server Manager it then shows port 1001 as busy. If I can set to port 1002, I can then connect again. After a while port 1002 will become busy and I have to then swap back to 1001.

Could anyone advise as to what might be holding the port as busy ?

The busy status of the port is due to your own connection. when you log in then the port becomes busy. if you log out the port will be idle
I suggest that if you cannot connect, switch to the other port.
Also you have set the connection for CS Manager as DHCP. I suggest to change to a fixed IP address, because of you reset your routyer, it may  change the assigned IP address

Can you download the Comfort Event Log and see if that gives you any clues.

I will try on a LAN when in new house, at the moment I have managed to program by alternating between the port 1001 and port 1002

Sota - Thats a good idea, let me download the Event Log as there should be some detail in there now.
