Hi,
I\'ve just added two Aico Ei166 mains-powered smoke alarms to my house. These are interconnected so when one alarms they all alarm. I currently have one downstairs and one upstairs with the plans to link in more over the coming weeks. I have ei128R relay modules on both (one for redundancy) and they are connected in series to a zone on my Confort Ultra II. I\'m using NC type for the zone (Fire NC) and basically all seems to work OK.
However I need it to be a little smarter!
At the moment if I test the detectors via the button on the top of each, the other alarms sound as required in test mode (via detector interconnect wire) and the comfort panel triggers and I have to enter a code quickly to disable it from full alarm state.
This is sort of OK, but it would be nice if the Comfort system could be setup so that I just get an announce (or tamper) when pressing the alarm test button and it doesn\'t enter full alarm status until after a set period; say 10 secs.
Has anyone got something like this working already? I\'m assuming it\'s a bit of logic and timers etc but would be nice to get a sample from you experienced people.
Regards
Julian
