Can you give me the serial number on the UCM and the ETH module. It sshould be P or C followed by numbers on a sticker with bar codes

You tried to upgrade UCM6.002 to 6.008
This is good but it looks like you selected the option Upgrade by Programming Cable
This is for upgrading another module with the UCM. It cannot be used for upgrading the same UCM.  To upgrade a UCM using this method you need to use another UCM

If you want to upgrade the UCM itself then you must use the method Upgrade by Direct connection to PC
This is why you had the error

The upgradiing procedure is fully described in the UCM Manual from https://www.cytech.biz/ucm_manual.html

Do read the chapter on firmware upgrading before you attempt it otherwise you may end up corripting the firmware
