DS01 - does it Need DM02?
#1
Hi. Recently upgraded my plastic door station to a metal one DS01.

The sound quality is really poor.

Do I need to upgrade my DM01 to a DM02 also?

Or is it just tuning parameters I need to play with? Could you point out the correct tuning parameters/ which ones to adjust please?

Thanks
Kevin

DS01 is a bundle which includes PL11 (door sttaion), PL71 , PL81, RGR05 ringer and DM02DM01 should not affect the audio quality
Do you have Comfort 2, not Comfort 1?
You should upgrade the tuning parameters. Open a new file and write selective > select tuning parameters and write to comfort
That should improve the performance

Apologies

I have a new metal door station but an original DM01 (what’s the difference between DM01 and DM02?)

I have comfort 2

I’ll try reloading the parameters and see if that helps

I’ve uploaded the tuning parameters and the volume of the person at the doorcstation whobos speaking, is really very quiet on the internal phone handsets

Any idea which tuning parameters I should play with, or do I need to do something with shunts?

The metal doorcstation replaced an old DP03X which worked just fine. Can I just swap them out of so I need to change something on The DM01?

DM01 is designed for Comfort 1, DM02 for Comfort 2.

which Comfort do you have? DM01 will not work well with Comfot2
see the attached DM01 manual there is a section on Connection to DS01 door station

Apologies - I do have DM02 and Comfort 2

So the question is, how can I make it louder on the internal telephones when speaking to someone at the door station?

Just looking at my DM02 - there is no Jumper 6!

The instructions say to change jumper 6 if connected to a DSO1 - which it is - but there is no jumper 6 on my DM02- it was purchased back in 2010

The sound quality on the telephone handsets is so poor, it’s basically unusable sadly - it was fine with the DP03X

J6 is not needed on old versions on DM02 as it is shorted in hardwareCan you check what are the shunts on the board, or take a high res photo of your DM02 so we can check which version iyt is
