However older UCM/Zwavce may not support the Bridge Controller function which alows 2 way operations. A tutorial will be available shortrly

UCM 2 5.218

How do I upgrade the UCM 2? dont think I can do it by direct cable.

I purchase the Z-Wave UCM in the last 12 months so will this support the 2 way comms?

You can upgrade UCM version 5.xxx using UCM programming cable see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1216.html

When you say UCM2 5.218, UCM2 refers to the UCM name. More important is the UCM Type eg ZWave, Cbus or General You can only upgrade a UCM to the same type ie Zwave to Zwave or Cbus to Cbus
