Tamper false alarms

Thanks if it was the same circuit I would say that it is faulty wiring however everytime it happens it is a different circuit, I did once check the wiring on a circuit after the tamper alarm and found no fault. It must be something else as i\'m using EOL is it possible that comfort is maybe reading it wrongly occasionally? if not then I don\'t know what it is. I read the log and it said it was a tamper

There is only one Tamper input
What do you mean it happens on a different circuit? What is the tamper connected to? Are there any possibility of interference on the wiring.


Comfort cannot \"read\" the input wrong sometimes. EOL does not prevent false alarms. The input has to be open to cause a tamper alarm. Check the voltage on the tamper input.


As I said, just short the  tamper input and see if you have any more alarms. That will prove if it is due to comfort or not

The OP is using EOLs, therefore the Tamper will be read as a change in resistance on the Zone Input as opposed to using the dedicated Tamper input (which as you state is N/C).

Tamper\'s would therefore be registered on each circuit, and as the triggering circuits vary, then it would indicate an issue with either a simultaneous breakdown of the all EOL resistors or the way Comfort is interpreting the input.

Guess a check would be remove the EOLs (depending on location) and see if that Zone re-triggers a \'Tamper\'

How many inputs are being used as Tampers?

Each zone type has a zone sensitivity which can be set to a high value if there are fast transitions that are causing the alarm.

Hi and thanks for the replies, I am using double eol\'s for each zone, each zone has 1 sensor or 1 input. Every zone will have its own eol on it. For the tamper circuit itself it\'s only the case and sirens connected

ULT 7.056 (beta) has an addtional  filtering for tamper alarms which may be caused by spurious external induced voltages along the wires
You can try that and see if it reduces the tamper alarms
