Zone Trouble on a Magnetic Contact

I have a input zone (6) [No EOL] that has a magnetic contact and has never given issues for years until two days ago when it started reporting zone trouble randomly. We had a alarm triggered in the early mornings for the last two days.

Am using;

• ULTRA 2
• Comfort Version: 7.201
• Comfigurator:  3.13.9

Which Comfort PCB do you have CM9001 without the zone shunts or the old CM9001 with the zone shunts? The setting should be NO EOL to match your actual connection without EOL. 

To test, remove the termional block from the zone so there is nothint connected to the zone. Then short and open the zonewith a wire./ Do you still get zone trouble? You can use Security Check F,3,2 to let the zone announce on the keypad.

If there is no zone trouble withiut anything connected tyen the problem could be the wiring shorted or connected to another voltage.

How would I know which CM9001 it is?

The zone trouble only started reporting two days ago. The door open/close is still being reported accurately.

The zone trouble does not happen every single time, and it usually does that 3 to 5 times in 24 hours.

Dodgy connection in the sensor?

You can connect the sensor to a spare zpne and see if it still occurs. This will show if it is a zone problem or sensor/wire problem

It looks like it was a dodgy sensor, replaced it yesterday, and have not had the issue since.

Thats what I suspected, Sensor or wires
