Lost keypads voice after reloading vocabulary
#1
Hi, I just read the section talking about Vocabulary download issues.I did what I should not have to: Download a new vocabulary. The process stopped just after typing F0, with a \"vocab error\" message.I tried 3 times without success. Since then ,no more voice messages. I tried to reload comfort firmware ( 7.117) but I am stuck when having to type F0. Thank you for giving me some guidancePhilippe

Is the screenshot before or after attemting the vocab transfer? That shows the vocab is valid amdn there should be voice
Please send the screenshot aftter the failed transfer

Can you try again with the voacb transgfer but before that open UCM I/O Monitor, then after it fails click Copy tpo Clipboard, save to a text file and send to support@cytech.biz

Please let us  have the serial number on the Comfort which is on the PCB as Cxxxxx, or read it from the Controller Properties

Hi Slychiu,When upgrading the vocab, comfort message come to \"upgrading vocab to comfort\", the  a progress bar opens and stay at 0%, bips are heard on the keypad, then ( 10sec later) a \"vocab error\" message appears. I don\'t see a CXXX number, would it be A021762  written a paper stuck on the board?

Serial number starting with A is quite old

The vocab transfer was aborted after a while, I am not sure of the reason

what UCM are you using, it is ETH03 or ETH02?
If ETH03 can you upgrade to the latest ETH03 firmware (Not UCM firmware) in Comfort Server Manager

ETH02 may not even work with vocab upgrade

Only Ds Manager find an ethernet board, so should be an ETh1 or 2.

That would be ETH01 or ETH02
Perhaps you could send your Comfort to Laser and ask them to help to upgrade the vocabulary for you

If I upgrade to an ETH3 module, could I make it work? If not what should I get to do it myself?

Yes i think if you get ETH03  you should be able to di the upgrade yourself

I have an UCM 6.XXX, that would be ok with ETH03? Any solid benefit if I take the last UCM/ETH03 board?

UCM Firmware 6.xxx can be upgraded to the latest version 7

see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/3400.html

The advantages of ETH03 can be found here
