Within the ST app is it possible to for example turn off a sensor. I thought that if you pressed the lower right icon (on the device page) the zone would go inactive. I have tried this and is says waiting but doesn\'t go inactive. This would be useful for a faulty sensor.

I have an old Comfort 1 system set up in an office block I have just sold. It has been working fine for the past 12 years and is quite complex, so I don\'t want to upgrade it.

I need to dial in twice a year to change the time, when BST finishes. The problem has been there for around two years. I can dial in with no problem, but Comfort will not hear any of the login tones, so I cannot get into it to change the time.

However, every week the tenants test the fire alarms and Comfort reports back to me, when this has been done. When Comfort rings me I can enter my password and get into it to alter the time - so it does accept DTMF tones if it calls me.

I have tried deleting the answer phone message, to see if this was drowning the tones, but it makes no difference. It only responds when Comfort calls me.

Obviously I cant leave it like this and its important to have the correct time, as Comfort closes all the roller shutters at predetermined times.

I have another Comfort 1 system working fine in another location, so I have cross checked all the voice parameters of both Comfort 1\'s and they are the same.

Can anyone help please?

I am slightly confused when the PIR off response on a zone is initiated.
Has there got be at least one ON response activated before an Off response?
What happens if there are no ON responses?
For presence detection to switch off lights or heating in a room, I am finding that there must be at least one ON response. If the situation is such no one enters the room and the PIR does not detect the person due to location of the PIR relative to the light switch then the OFF response will not be activated.
If this is the case, how would you suggest I program the presence detection when there no PIR on\'s so that PIR off can still be initiated.
Do I have attach a response to the light switch or heating to know that the heating ir light is on in the room? Am still able to PIR on/off one the zone possibly with extra programming attached to the light switch?

In an existing installation we have to change the UCM/GSM4(3G). Before installing it we have tested the UCM in the office.

We have a control menu group 0, subgroup 0 and command 0 and 1 that is used to switch on and off the heating system.

The sms commands are executed but the reply message does not include the status.
Example:

Comfort reply to SMS:

What is missing in the reply is the actual status that should be below the \"<M\" text as per user manual.

Any suggestions?

Having suffered the failure of two keypad \'speaker\' modules, I am very aware of the very sensible advice given that I keep the volume at a lower level to possibly avoid yet another failure in the future. After fitting the third module, I lowered the sound level to 40 and have been very happy with the quieter voice. However, I notice that for certain functions, the voice level clearly reverts to its default value of 50. For example, I had a message waiting today and after listening to it (at the lower volume level), I pressed # to exit the system. I then got a - booming! - \'security off\'. It is much more noticeable now that most of the sound is at the lower lever - when it changes, it almost sounds like the lady is shouting!!

My main concern is that IF it was a \'default too high volume\' that caused the early failure of the two previous speakers, isn\'t this adding to the \'stress\'? Is there any way that I can set ALL communications to the level I set, whatever that might be? And- if not, why not?

I have a comfort system with two keypads. One KP04 and a New KP04A. When I installed the new KP04 everything worked fine for some time.

A couple of weeks back both keypads started to say incorrect words when running through the menu. It was like to vocabulary had got corrupted.

I did a download of the sentences in comfigurator.

On the KP04 it asked to sync the text changes by pressing *and1 which I did. After this the KP04 worked.

The KP04A also wanted to sync the text changes but when I pressed * and1 on that keypad it showed the progress bar for about one block and then stopped. The message displayed was something like test format incompatible.

What should I do to get this keypad working?

I should say that I don\'t know exactly when or how the vocabulary got corrupted as this is not my own installation. It had a full software upgrade mid last year to the most current firmware version available at the time and I also upgraded the KP04A firmware to see if that was causing the problem but it made no difference.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have encountered an issue that after a reset only the status of the first 16 zones gets transmitted on the KNX bus (which can be seen as packets 1/7/1 ... 1/7/16 in the ETS diagnositic monitor).

Background:

I would like to display the status of my 24 Comfort zones inside my KNX visualization. For this I have mapped the zone status to a KNX address set 1/7/xxx in the UCM02 configuration.

As pointed out in this 5 year old topic it is not possible to read e.g. 1/7/8 via the KNX bus to get the status of Zone 08 as the UCM firmware is not capable of answering read requests (it\'s a pity that this has still not been implemented in the UCM02 firmware).

The recommended workaround in the above post was to force a system reset, either manually or e.g. via a custom response that would be hooked in when disarming.

This now does not work for me. I would need to manually open and close zones 17...24 in order to get the current status shown in the visualization every time the visualization is restarted (which is currently quite often as I am gradually enhancing the functionality).

I have verified that when e.g. zone 18 is opened this is correctly sent out as a 1/7/18 package on the bus.

Are there any plans to implement a KNX readable status or is there any other additional workaround?
