I have a Keypad KP04A-WI.  The keypad show strange characters on and off:

I installed and programmed a Comfort I system in my house in 2003 (with SEM, LEM, DS01, KP04, KP01, UCM01). Used Comfigurator v2 for programming .ccl file.Worked brilliantly for years but lightening damaged part of the phone module.

I bought a Comfort II upgrade kit in 2010 and for various reasons I have only just got round to installing it. The parts are therefore 2010 vintage:
Comfort II - v5.172 ULT, PC01-070A
SEM02 - v5.175, PC01-070A
UCM05 (v5.2 PC01-066A) with USB01
old UCM (v5.43 PC01-017E)
LEM01-M2
KP04 (existing older one moved to replace KP01 in bedroom) so 2 KPs on system
DS02 for replacing old DS
I have installed boards and done a quick boot to check the system and it goes through POST. The adapter board didn\'t work for me and I had to make some bespoke PCB stand-offs for the main board and SEM.
I have installed latest Comfig v3 to convert the .ccl file.

Problems:
1) the UCM05/USB01 USB doesn\'t work. \"Fails to connect to UCM\", Gone through the posted check list, deleted/reinstalled latest Win10 drivers, re-booted etc. Set Comfig to USB with serial number so Comfig does see it. D2 red LED flashes briefly when access code 1234 is entered in the dialogue box but fails to connect when requesting system info.
Serial port on UCM board works through a USB serial converter thankfully.Anything else I could try?
Duff USB01?

2) Imported .ccl file and converted with Comfig3 to FS34 ULTII. Module number differs but scanning only finds the new KP04. Surprised it didn\'t find the SEMI presume I add the rest manually and the .cclx file can just now be sent to ComfortII and debugged/modified?

3) Do I also need to specify ALL the sensors/PIRs etc in Comfig3
4) Can I upgrade the UCM05 firmware with the old UCM01v5.45 ?

Firstly, thanks for doing this. I have now had time to follow the instructions and have got set up. I am new to SmartThings. I have got to the point of device discovery in and have a few questions:

1) I seem to have doubled-up on two installations of Comfort Manager in SmartApps (I think through trying to refresh devices and using the initial discovery method twice, having not seen your clarification in the original thread on this point.) How do I delete the second instance?

2) I am not seeing any Comfort Responses. I am seeing 46 devices: all the Sensors, Outputs and Flags listed in the UPNP config file. But no responses.

3) Of the things 46 things I do see, one output is connected to a relay which in turn adjusts the ventilation system in my house to setback. I know this works normally as it is triggered daily by Comfort on Away. I can also test this output from Configurator so know it works as a switch. However switching this switch in SmartThings app appears to have no effect, implying something isn\'t working in terms of the connection control.

4) Other things are counters. I have Comfort integrated with the Heatmiser system using the Cytech Heatmiser UCM. There half-a-dozen thermostats which present as Counters in Comfort. The counters are showing up in SmartThings but they don\'t seem to be adjustable at present in the ST app.

5) My lighting is all X10 DIN module dimmers, which is reliably controlled by Comfort sending X10 signals. I appreciate this is now legacy stuff, but how would you recommend this is best handled in SmartThings? Can it be?

It feels like I am nearly there, but may need a little assistance to get me going. I have done a lot of configuration in Comfort and am used to the way it works; but I am entirely new to SmartThings, so this may be the problem.

I am just after purchasing a logic engine and eth3

I can connect to the eth3 and ping it but when I go to write to the logic engine I get error failed to connect to the ucm

I downgraded the eth to 2.01 and still no luck

1. Turn on night mode when we go to bed from my apple watch and back off from my watch when I wake up.[indent]

• Add ComfortAlarm Mode Night switch to the Good Night Routine
• Add ComfortAlarm Mode Off switch to the Good Morning Routine
• Add the SmartThings App to Apple Watch

• Install Life360 app on all the family members devices you wish to use
• Create an IFTTT account and add links to Life360 and SmartThings
• Create a routine to set ComfortAlarm Mode Away when the last person leaves the house
• Create a routine to see ComfortAlarm Mode Off when the first person arrives at the house
• For extra credit you can send notifications from IFTTT to let you know the alarm is being set or disarmed
