AutoArm Response not working
#1
System:Comfort 2 Ultra , 1 door Station,1 keypad , 1 serial ucm, I Ethernet ucm, 1 slave expansion
Comfort 2 Ultra
Version 5.11.3
File System 34
Ucm Version  5.178
I have a clients system  that reported to have had a fault appear  with the  Keypad , displaying  wrong text , with the 1 to update, pressing  the 1 would set the update but it would return.
At the time only the green led was lit and no voice heard from the keypad,
Downloading a  empty configuration file cured  the keypad error and the voice  ,
I then re loaded the original ccl file, and updated Configurator to 3.1.9, now a cclx  file
Now comfort  is operating , but with  the following issues
1/ The autoarm responses will not work, however you can arm the system from the keypad
2/ The event log is filled with Alarm Type2sign in tamper (31)

Could you give me some pointers  or checks to perform
Richard

Hi Richard,

  1. I supposed your auto-arm response is programmed in the Time Programs? If so, did you enable it?
  2. Sign-in tamper alarm will be generated when there are 6 unsuccessful (wrong code) attempts to log-in into the system. It will be cleared when a correct sign-in code is entered twice.
The Comfort II ULT firmware version 5.113 is quite an old one.
If possible, please upgrade it to the latest version, currently at 5.183.
The upgrade is available from: www.cytech.biz/upgrades.html

Hi Hendy

Thanks for the reply
The Autoarm command was sent direct to comfort via RS232 this  was working for some time, also I have just tested the Keyarm away, Keyarm Night , they all produce the disarm command.
Note the  event log  is filled with only sign in tamper …nothing else
Concerning the upgrade direct, will  my version a accommodate  write  flash prom

Thanks Richard

Yes, ULT 5.113 is a flash version so it should be upgraded to avoid the known bugs in that version.

If you are seeing sign in tamper in the event log it means that the code you are using is wrong, this is probably why you are not able to log in to send the auto-arm response
Try your code on the keypad and see if it can log in

Hi Ident the sign in codes works on the key pad, this also works via RS232, its strange because the previous log contained the history of the systems, now all it contains is more sign in tamper lines than I have sent any commands as I mentioned this is not a new installation, and the actions was required in response to the key pad stating wrong txt
I feel a corruption has occurred; would a firmware up grade help? Or at least eliminate I also have a sep expansion, i presume I’d need to upgraded this also.
Could you confirm that my UCM will be ok for the upgrade

Can you send the log to support@cytech.biz

The UCM 5.178 is fine for the firmware upgrade

Before the firmware upgrade perhaps you can write a default configuration to Comfort and se if you get the same problems. The configuration may have been corrupted
