My comfort (10 years old)has decided to dial out at 3am every morning to the mobile numbers programmed into it with the message \"battery warning\" 5 times to each of the 3 programmed numbers
is there a glasgow installer who can help or is it a simple battery replace?
thanks

The Battery needs to be replaced. 10 years is over the life of a typical battery
Comfort tests the battery every 24 hours and if it finds the battery is weak it causes a Battery Warning Alarm. So your Comfort has been testing your battery for 10 years.
You could disable the dial out for the Battery Warning alarm though as a local notification should be enough
You need a sealed Lead acid battery 12V 7 Amp Hours. It is the black rectangular slab you see when you open the case (be careful of triggering a Tanper alarm when you do so

enter your code and pres 3,4,2 for Security Check. This prevents alarms from activating while you test the system

Enter your code then 3 for Security Menu, 4 for Test and 2 for security Check. Dont press # as this will go to the previous menu
Voice should say \"Security Check\" to show it is in that mode

The recommended life of a battery is about 5 years, this maybe shorter if the panel in in a very hot room 20deg c
I woulsd highly recomment replacing the battery every 4 years

I have plugged in a new battery and when I have tested it through the test function of the Engineer Menu the battery check still fails. The new battery has been plugged in now for a few days and I would have thought it would be now charged up fully. What else could be wrong?
