I will be having work done to the mains power supply to my property, I will have no mains power for up to 48 hours. My first question is - how long will the backup battery keep my Comfort 2 Ultra going without mains power. EDIT - I worked this out from a table I found, not long enough! My second question; I have a Reson8 bell box. If there is no power to Comfort and I disconnect the battery the siren goes off as it has an independent battery. Is there an easy way (not having to get my ladders out and climb up to the bell box) to stop this happening?

Comfort 2 Ultra. As we move more and more to online shopping I get an endless stream of deliveries. My wife shops a lot!! Delivery drivers tend to ring the doorbell and leave the package on the doorstep. When I am out and the alarm is set to away I get a phone call from Comfort. Is there a way I can stop getting phone calls from the doorbell being pressed but still receive notifications from other alarm events?

What\'s the best way to connect the infrared transmitter IR03W to a Comfort output since this transmitter has an 3.5mm audio plug?
I know I can cut the IR03W wire and plug the two wires to to the output but I\'m just wondering if there is a more elegant solution.
But even if I have to cut the wire can I do the connection to the Comfort Output without having to consider any polarity?
Sorry but I\'m know nothing about leds and I don\'t want to damage the IR transmitter.
If there is no voice when dialing out by UCM/GSM, please check that the 5 way audio cabler is connecte between the GSM submodule and the CVM9001 DSP side. see page 2/3 of the UCM/GSM leaflet
The 5 way audio cable is to be connected from J3 5-way connector for voice connectionto J54 (GSM) connector on Comfort II. See the UCM/GSMMLeaflet

The newer USB submodule hardware has changed in that the submodule is powered from the PC USB port so that when the USB cable is not plugged in to the PCm the USB is not working. This has an effect that if the UCM/USB is powered on when the cable is not plugged to the PC and you try to connect to the UCM (eg by Comfigurator), the connection fails. This is because the UCM firmware did not detect the USB submodule and assumed the Wifi submodule is plugged in instead.
The solution to this is to power off the UCM and power on again (by unplugging and plugging in the white 4 way cable) while keeping the USB cable connected to the PC. Resetting the USB will not work - a cold start is needed.
In UCM Firmware 7.176 an improvement has been made. see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum81/5259.html The UCM can be reset without having to power off, while the USB is connected to the PC. Also the ERR led (D3 Red) turns on the the Wifi submodule is detected. Hence is you see the ERR led ON, just plug in the USB cable to the PC and press the rseton the UCM.
If the wifi submodule is connected, the ERR led should be on.
Note that old USB submodules are not powered by the PC and do not have this problem
I have recently completed an integration between Comfort and Samsung AC using Modbus, so I thought I would just share the config and some of the lessons learn\'t!
The Samsung system is 2 x multi split systems, one with 3 indoor units and one with 2 indoor units. The two outdoor condensers (one per system) are each fitted with Samsung MIM-B19N modbus cards, wired in a star configuration to the UCM modbus.
Firstly, you need to configure the UCM modbus to operate at 9600bps.
Secondly, you need to configure all the indoor units to \'enable central control\' - something tech support had to help with; unit you have done this the Modbus card in the condenser reports E604 error message.
You have to calculate the address of each modbus element, details are in the Samsung manual, but in short:
The first unit is 0, second unit is 1, third unit is 2 etc.
You use a multiplier, but for my config the addresses are as per the attached image. You can see how one system (modbus slave 1) has the 2 indoor units and the second system (modbus slave 2) has the 3 indoor units.
I have used responses to set all the units on, off, and at particular modes and set points etc. Touch wood (it\'s only day 2) it\'s all working a dream! Another lovely and simple integration!
