Power Supply
A major difference between  CM9001 and CM9000 is the use of a universal (90-260VAC to 15VDC 1.7A) switched power supply TT01-0022 with DC Output  instead of the old 15VAC Transformer (with AC Output). The new power supply can be used for all countries (with all the regulatory and safety approvals) and is much lighter, and is more efficient ie it takes much less current from the mains power supply compared to a transformer. The correct transformer /power supply MUST be used with the matching DSP Board ie Transformer with CM9000 DSP, power supply TT01-0022 with CM9001 DSP. Other than that the CM9001 and CM9000 CPU and DSP boards can be interchanged.

CPU and DSP Boards
The CM9000 and CM9001 PCBs consist of 2 smaller PCBs connected by a connector in the middle. The CPU Board or left half include the microprocessor, the EEPROM and RS485 driver . The DSP board or right half includes the DSP, voice flash memory, and telephone interface. The reason for spliiting up the CM9000/CM9001 into 2 parts is to allow easier inventory control.

The CPU and DSP boards can be interchanged between CM9000 and CM9001, ie CPU from CM9000 and be connected to DSP from CM9001 and vice versa. However the restriction is that the DSP board must be connected to the appropriate power supply, ie CM9000 DSP with the old AC Transformer, and CM9001 DSP with the new Switched DC power supply.  The combination of CM9001 CPU with CM9000 DSP has a part designation, CM9000B which needs the AC transformer.





Firmware Compatibility
Comfort Firmware is the same for CM9000 and CM9001. Firmware can be upgraded to the latest.
Compatibility of other Modules

• LEM01-M2, LEM02-M2, LEM03-M2 can be used with CM9001 and CM9000. LEM02B is a direct plug in on CM9001 so it cannot be mounted on  CM9000. LEM01-M2 should not be connected at the same time as LEM02B is plugged in.
• All other RS485 Modules, eg Keypads, UCMs, TSM, IRIO are compatible with CM9000 and CM9001
• SEM01-M2 and SEM01C can be used with both CM9000 and CM9001.
  

The CM9001 is a new version of Comfort which replaces CM9000.






The main differences are

• New Switching Power Supply 90V to 264 VAC, 15 VDC @1.8Amps, lightweight, safety approved, more efficient woith overvoltage, overcuttrent protection
  
• OP03 plug-in Output Board with 600 mA DC output limit
• Able to plug in ETH03 submodule directly. No need for separate UCM for Cytech App
  
• Zone End-of-line Shunts are removed. The EOL setting (No EOL or Double EOL) is programmed in Comfigurator 3.12.x and above. This removes the problem caused by oxidation of the shunts after many years causing loss of contact, or shunts falling out, causing “Zone Trouble” alarms.  Important – UCM Minimum firmware is 7.098 to allow setting of EOL. 
  
• Removed Local Telephone Control as this feature is not often used. Plug in new DSI Door Station Interface with Ringer allows Local Phone Control and Ringer for Door station.
• Tamper Terminal with 3 pins to allow easy series connection of Tampers
• LEM02B 8 input 0 output expansion can be plugged in on CM9001 without blocking connectors, switches, buttons, or LEDs
• The X10 connector has been removed. X10 is no longer supported

Known Bugs

• Force arm on partition using # key does not work always send to partition 0
• Partitions do not work well with UCM log in with ETH03
•  CT counter report – if counter response changes another counter value, the counter report for the changed counter has the same conter id as the original. So if KNX sends a counter update, counter response change another counter and the counter is reported to knx, the counter id remains as KNX ucm id so the KNX ignores the new counter report.
  
• Upgrade CM9001 by ETH03 plug in. If reset occurs while upgrade, set baud rate for eth03 is not  done.
  
• query_serialno bug in self id – sent serial no of Rs485 wrong. Broadcast serial no at reset instead of send serial no queries to id
• Doorphone action 9  partition 1 spkr/mic are turned on for doorphone intercom instead of doorphone ID
• From 7.159 increment counter, decrement counter actions did not return counter value as last action value so If action which follows uses the wrong value
  
  

• Fixed BUG For Partition Systems trouble alarms are registered into random partition and Restore may be registered to different partition so cannot acknowledge

• Action 160 - switch S12V off time if time = 0, dont start timer for on time
• Action 159, 0, 3 Convert  256 to 100 use fractional value and round off
• Actions subtract parameters for Action 149, 3  (immediate), 149, 4 (counter), 149, 5 (sensor)
  

• Eventlog - command E?FF last event Fixed BUG did not work
• For EMS sensor event log, if module which reported sensor has Communications Failure, set sensor value to 255 so KP04A display does not remain unchannged as last value reported, and causes alarm

• If there is no partition 0, trouble alarms report in lowest partition
• For partition system turn off all keypad speakers first so only partition keypad can hear siren sound  and announcement
• Fixed BUG For Partition Systems trouble alarms are registered into random partition and Restore may be registered to different partition so cannot acknowledge

• KP06A Keypad volume has max 100. KP06A volume is actually divided by 2

• If an SMS dialout fails,  immediately go to the next dial without time out delay

• The Counter Response is also activated when Comfort changes a Counter value. Eg by Responses/ Action codes or Control menu. Previously, Counter Response is avtivated only when the counter us changed by a UCM

• Support Fractional Values for KP04A display
• For EMS sensor event log, if module which reported sensor has Communications Failure, set sensor value to 255 so KP04A display does not remain unchannged as last value reported, and causes alarm
• Implemented Sensor calibration with Fractional value 1/16 for EMS
  
• Sensors adjustment for scale fix bug for division
• For EMS sensor event log, fixed BUG that sensors 9 onwards are not recorded correctly. Changed so that any sensor with counter assigned is recorded in event log every hour
• Sensor Register calibration in eepron is 1/16 units to use calibration value with 1/16 unit calibration value from eeprom

• ETH03 plug in support UN command

• For plug in eth03 for LGX, UCM/LOG, CM9001,   Sensor, Counter, Flag command will echo state eg C! Will  report CT

•  No of Responses number from 1024 to 512 affect ucm/log, knx/logic
•  Removed  x10 responses not used affect knx/logic and ucm/logic
•  KNX/Logic saved nonvolatile counters increased from 8 to 32

Please note that UCM/PI ino longer produced.It wll be replaced by UCMA/Pi


The UCM/Pi is a host adapter, linking a Raspberry Pi Industrial Compute Module 3/3+ (CM3) or compatible single board computer to the Cytech Comfort range of products. Benefiting from the tight integration with the Comfort system, the CM3 has a direct serial interface to the UCM and includes an optional hardware watchdog. The UCM may be powered by the Comfort system where it benefits from the battery backed up power supply.

The installer or user has the option of using software developed by alphaWerk which includes MQTT, Node-Red, OpenHab and HomeAssistant support or, with the technical documentation and operating system configuration provided, they may develop their own.

UCM/Pi is not able to upgrade its own firmware or upgrade vocabulary at this time. You need another UCM - USB, Wifi or Eth03.

Do not try to upgrade firmware or vocabulary otherwise it may corrupt the firmware or vocabulary

• KNX Monitor mode includes Send to KNX

I have several Responses that use the NightTime flag to perform various tasks. For example:

        Do DynEXPrmtrOn ! Turn on Perimeter Lights

However, the NightTime flag no longer appears to be working.  I am on a Comfort II running firmware 7.153 and UCM 7.110.
Do I need to define NightTIme as a flag?  I notice in the Sunrise/Sunset Time there are Night Time Properties.  Do I need to create/set the NightTime flag there or is it a global flag?

I have two DM02 boards in my ComfortII system.  They have worked fine for many years.  Recently I have had some strange behaviour on one of the DM02 boards.  
I wanted to see if there is a way to test that it is functioning properly or do I need to replace it.  
When I press the SW2 switch on the board it is very slow to respond.  Sometimes if fails to ring the telephone.  Before replacing it, I just want to make sure that the board is in fact bad.

I have a ComfortII with two Door Stations...one located at the gate and the other on the front door.
Currently, when the button is pressed and you pickup the phone it says \"Doorbell One\" or \"Doorbell Two\" depending on which Door Station button was pressed.  Is there a way for it to say \"Front Door\" for Doorbell 1 and \"Entry Gate\" for Doorbell 2.
I assume I should modify the DoorphoneChime response?

Any plans to do a Mac version of Comfigurator?
The Mac is no longer an esoteric platform and Comfigurator has been around long enough to be stable so this seems like a logical step.
If it made life simpler a version which could only communicate via Ethernet and not USB would be acceptable.
