Hi,I have a Comfort system fully installed and working really well for a number of years. I need to add another keypad to the system but cant get a direct RS485 cable to the location. I do have IP network connectivity so I have bought a pair of RS485 to IP transceivers. Can someone let me know the RS485 settings in Comfort for Baud Rate, Parity etc so that I can \"tunnel\" the RS485 over Ethernet? Thanks in advance!

Subject says it all really... - my Rpi based setup stopped working a while ago, for either of 2 possible reasons - DHCP address on the Pi, which changed and the SD card reports 0 free space in the UI.
I\'ve spent a little time this afternoon discovering both of the above, and I think I pretty much resolved to strip everything away & start again, this time with an even bigger SD card, load the image again, re-do the UPNP config file, etc. etc.
But that\'s quite a few hours work, and if the UCM version is just a month or two away, I might as well wait...
Without being held to any promises or anything, are you able to offer even ball-park estimate of the ETA?

Hi, I just read the section talking about Vocabulary download issues.I did what I should not have to: Download a new vocabulary. The process stopped just after typing F0, with a \"vocab error\" message.I tried 3 times without success. Since then ,no more voice messages. I tried to reload comfort firmware ( 7.117) but I am stuck when having to type F0. Thank you for giving me some guidancePhilippe

I might be swapping out my door station for a new VOIP video one (probably am) 
I currently use the door station to make a momentry connection to my gates to open them.
Assuming this goes - Do I need a relay?  Or can I just use one of the OP connections straight off the board?  In my case it would be the slave in the garage.  (Either way, how do I work out which OP it is to programme in Comfigurator?)
My gut feel is is I will need a little relay....

following on from the thread here,

Can I add the following request to comfort programming (so comfort and Comfigurator I guess):
- the ability for a response to check which holiday is active (if \'holiday\' were an integer rather than boolean it could hold the id of the holiday entry that has set it)
- if possible the ability to set a period (eg 5 days) or end date for a holiday entry

It would then be possible to check which holiday entry is active.



Can I also add the following requests for android app please:
- can you add the same show timer / camera checkboxes as are now in ios app,
- can you make it possible to configure the holiday entries, so they can be set without needing reprogramming via Comfigurator

As the title says, I want a program to run at sunset, but only for a set number of days.
Lets assume I want to turn on some lights at sunset, and off at midnight on those same days. I want this to happen for a month.

I have a pair of responses to control the lights at the times, but cannot figure out what is the best way to trigger them.

I can set a sunset response, but that will get triggered every day, all year.

I can use a time program to run at a given time when its a holiday. The problem with this is, the time program happens at a given time which is great for the midnight turn off, but not for sunset.
Also the holidays are single days, not for a duration of days.
Add to this, there are only 24 holiday entries.

If I could figure out how I can check which holiday has triggered my event I could set two holidays, one at the start and the other at the end, and then set or clear a flag that the sunset & midnight responses could check.
since I can\'t see a way to do this though, whats the best way to achieve what I am after ?

I was reading stuff on NTC self heating and I was thinking if the thermal runaway is something that could really affect a measurement. So, not an offset, but actually a drift on the resistance.

So I tried to think what happens in a circuit like this:

The maximum power absorbed by the thermistor is when has the same resistance as Rref due to the maximum power transfer theorem. Plotting this power absorbed versus temperature (i.e. resistance) and facing the graphs, I obtain something like this:



Where of course at 25°C both resistance are at the same value. Now, for temperatures higher than 25°C, I can see that there is some negative feedback that keeps the sensor from drifting: as temperature increases, the power dissipated decrease and temperature decrease again, and I expect that it will stay in one balance point lower than the offset without this negative feedback.

On the other hand, for temperatures lower than 25°C, as the sensor increase its temperature, it will increase the dissipated power, increasing further, up to arrive at stationary point of 25°C.

Now, if those assumptions are correct, how this is taken into account in the design? Is this effect dumped out somehow?

This question I think applies also on some \"fixed\" resistors, but with significant parasitic thermal dependence.

Ive been running for about a year without any problems.Today however I noticed in the Smartthings App under the My Home / Things tab a number of unidentified entries with \"?\" the only entry.On entering, these are existing Comfort devices but some simply seem to have lost their identity On the My Home page only, see attached images.Tried rebooting everything but still the same.Any ideas??
