I am intending to install Comfort in to a new house. My current configuration has hard wired PIR spread around the building, but in the new house I would like to install with wireless PIRs instead. Is this possible, and can Comfort supply a suitable component?

Hi I am on 5.121 and am just about to start using a (UCM/GSM4(2G) which is being delivered today.
From what I have read I need to upgrade to a more recent firmware 7.117.
I will be using a new USB/UCM module which is also coming today.
Please could you confirm the steps I need to take to upgrade successfully.
or let me have the link to where on the forum this question has already been answered.

I am currently having an upgrade session on my Comfort - for too long I have contemplated getting a UCM/GSM4. Every time I look at the festoon of telecom cables within easy reach I think I must get on with it...
A quick google around and I find articles telling me that 3G is likely to go before 2G

I am in a semi urban area so I find myself wondering whether buying a UCM/GSM4(2G) unit will be a false economy.
Also I have no idea whether it will work until I plug it in and put a SIM in it.
ie will the local site - most likely EE - still be working on 2G?
Questions:
What are the thoughts of others?
Where can I get a unit from (UK stockists are slow to respond)?
Can I buy the 3G daughterboard separately?
Is there a 4G version in the pipeline?

I have 21 motion detectors connected to Comfort and during normal house activity it causes a lot of traffic on the KNX bus and delays on the transmission of information from Comfort to KNX.
I would like to skip the sending, from Comfort to KNX, of the status report for the motion sensors but still receive information of the non-motion sensor zones.
Is there a way to selectively report zone status to KNX bus ?

( by the way in the \'UCM/KNX2 - Comfort to KNX Interface\'  pdf manual in page 27 it is referred \"In the screen shot above, the zone status is assigned to Group address 0/1/1.\" but there is no such screenshot . Please correct manual)

Are there any plans to update the Comfort iOS application to be a 64 bit app?   If not, then if the reports are correct it will stop working when Apple release the next main release of iOS later this year.

Already iOS 10 is reporting that the Comfort app will slow down the phone, and stop working in a future OS release.

Hi, this seems a daft question to ask... I\'m nearing the end of my physical installation and I found a TPB01 in the box that I\'d forgotten I\'d ordered years ago. I\'ve attached a photo. Due to the types of connectors it looked as though it was designed to clip on to the main Comfort board and then clip the existing TEL-IN connector on top?

I puzzled over it though and based on tracing the PCB I concluded that would invert the two wires (and I recall having phone line issues when that initially happened at my old house - without a TPB).

So, am I just being daft - which way am I supposed to connect this, or has the pre-installed connector in the photo been put on the wrong way around at the factory? It can\'t be clipped to the main board as-is or the components would hit the metal casing.

Swapping the connector around would be problematic as the screw-terminals seem to be biting-down on the trace that is only on the bottom face of the board.

Hi, can anyone help with these GSM4 related queries?

Just setting up my system and I find the instructions mildly confusing re. config. I understand that some of the Comfort config is duplicated and also stored on the UCM/GSM4. What isn\'t 100% clear is when and how that needs to be done:

1) Is GSM4 config only saved to the module when I explicitly choose \"Write EEPROM\" i.e. and not when I do a full or selective Write to Comfort (even though Selective tells me Modules have changed)?

2) When should I do \"Copy from Comfort\" - is that every time I\'ve edited zone names (or other GSM related config) in the main Comfort part of Comfigurator, or does it really mean \"from Comfort\" - i.e. it will read the current values direct from the live Comfort system (so if I haven\'t written the config then it is reading the wrong values)?  The warning message does imply it is some sort of reset and I shouldn\'t need to do it often?

3) I cannot get SMS help text working. My config is pretty much default on the GSM4 side and I haven\'t changed help text.  I text \"?\"  and receive back \"Command Not Permitted\".  I send a \"(1)\" and get the same error message. I cannot work it out. My system details and phone type config is below. Any suggestions?

4) If I edit phone numbers in Comfigurator Security section do I need to do a write EEPROM or \"Copy from Comfort\"? The GSM4 module editing part of Comfigurator doesn\'t mention the phone numbers that I can see (other than the emergency one for loss of comms, which is also set to my mobile).

Comfort Ultra II firmware 7.116, UCM/ETH03 firmware 7.098, UCM/GSM4(3G) firmware 7.100

Phone 1 - my mobile with a land-line indirect dialout prefix (for cheaper land-line calls to mobiles), type VOICE, SMS flags all \"No\"

Phone 2 - same mobile with no prefix, type SMS, SMS flags all \"Yes\"

Phone 1 should be irrelevant as I\'m not currently using it but I mention it as it does end in the same number as Phone 2.

I have proven that I can send a custom text message on zone activation to Phone 2. That works fine. I can dial the GSM4 and sign-in from my mobile and that works fine. I just can\'t get Comfort to respond to the SMS text messages. It clearly receives them so it must be something to do with it not thinking my mobile is setup as a valid number?
