Hi All.

Has anyone tried to power a RGBW strip from an output directly?

Looking at the web one site seems to suggest the there is a draw of 60mA per meter per colour.

Alternative solution would be 4 relays and an external psi.

If the Voice menu is not needed, programming the Control menu for the iOS or Android apps can be  simplified. This also applies to LGX01 Logic Engine and UCM/Logic which does not have a Voice Menu

This applies to Comfigurator 3.11.13 and Comfort firmware 7.116 or above

Instead of selecting words from the word list, enter any text in Alternative Phrases in Control Group, Control Key and Control Action. Leave out the Phrase words.




The Control groups will appear according to the text in Alternative Phrases


In Control key, if the feedback is defined as Outputs, Inputs/Zones, Flags, the Control Actions  automatically become 0 for Off, 1 for On


Above example of Output Feedback. Note that OFF and ON are added automatically




The Output ON and OFF Responses do NOT need to be entered. Off will automatically set the feedback Output OFF, ON will automatically set the feedback Output ON, ie Output 1 in this example



Above example of Flag Feedback. Note that OFF and ON are added automatically
The OFF and ON Responses do not have to be created; Off will automatically set the feedback Flag OFF, ON will set Flag On



Above example of Zone Feedback. Note that OFF and ON are added automatically
However in this case OFF and ON Responses are not created automatically. Off and On responses for Zone feedback must be created manually.


Counter Feedback is different


When Counter is used in Feedback, there are no Off or ON responses created.
In the Comfort app, a slider will be seen when the Feedback is a counter. Changing the position of the slider sets the value of 0 to 255 into the assigned counter

1. For Comfort to Modbus, the Comfort registers for Discrete Inputs added Output, Output Toggle, Output Pulse, Virtual Input, Counter, Sensor, Flag, Arm, Panic, Bypass zone.  Discrete Inputs and Input Registers now have the same Comfort register types

Hi,

I\'ve nearly finished commissioning my Comfort system. I have used a Visonic MCR-308 receiver for wireless elements - I used Visonic kit years ago, they\'re very reliable and great.

Anyway, I have a Comfort panel and a SEP panel but they\'re not located near to each other and I can\'t easily run extra cables between them and I only have a few spare wires.

The main wireless receiver is connected to the SEP but I\'ve changed plans and need to add more wireless zones. So, I\'ve got a Visonic MCX-8 expander on order. I need to connect the MCR-308 and MCX-8 to each other with 4 wires (for Visonic\'s own bus - 0v, 12v and 2 x data lines). I don\'t have enough spare zones on the SEP so the expander\'s outputs will have to connect to the main Comfort panel.

My query is... am I okay connecting the Open Collector outputs of the expander direct to Comfort zones when the 12v supply on that expander unit is coming from a different power supply?  The MCX-8 is powered by the SEP but it\'s outputs will be connected to the zones on the main Comfort panel. All units have the same common/0v so I think I\'m okay, but can anyone confirm?

The attached diagram should make it really clear.

I am unable to download the files from the Links in the Releases thread. It tells me the file may have been moved or made private. Hope someone can help as I am very keen to participate in this project. Got all my hardware ready to go, just need the pi image.

From Comfort Firmware 7.117, Comfort will detect if the LEM03 is connected to it see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/4673.html

The checkbox  in Comfigurator > Configuration > Modules and Settings > LEM03 (24 Zone) can be ignored. After reading from Comfort this setting will show if LEM03 is connected or not, so it will be a Read Field. Writing into the LEM03  checkbox has no effect. The LEM03 state can only be seen after reading from Comfort

The telephone use to ring following the front doorbell being pressed. Now the doorbell rings once and then stops ringing. What could have changed?
I have Comfort 1 Ultra.

A major improvement in Comfigurator 3.11.12 is the ability to change the values of Counters, Sensors, Outputs, and Flags from Comfigurator. This is a great help when testing  programs especially for IRIO, UCMs like KNX, Cbus, Modbus, Zwave which are based on mapping to Counters, Flags, Sensors and Outputs.

For Counters go to Events > Counters and select a Counter
check the \"Show Status\" box
The current value of the selected Counter is seen
Enter a new value from 0 to 255 in the box. This changes the value of the counter immediately.
Note that changing the value of a counter from the UCM like this will also trigger the maped Counter Response

For Flags  go to Names > Flags  and select a Flag
check the \"Show Status\" box
The current value of the selected Flag is seen as On or Off. In fact all flags status is seen
Click on the On or Off status to toggle it. This changes the value of he flag from On to Off or vice versa






For Output   go to Names > Outputs  and select an Output
check the \"Show Status\" box
The current value of the selected Output is seen as On or Off. In fact all Output  status is seen
Click on the On or Off status to toggle it. This changes the value of ehe Output  from On to Off or vice versa






For Sensors  go to Events > Sensors  and select a Sensor
check the \"Show Status\" box
The current value of the selected Sensor is seen
Enter a new value from 0 to 255 in the box. This changes the value of the Sensor immediately.
Note that changing the value of a Sensor from the UCM like this will also trigger the mapped Sensor  Response


 
 Another very useful feature is the Register Monitor, where you can select Counters, Sensors, Flags, Zone/Inputs , Oututs to monitor in the same window
