UCMs (Universal Communication Modules) refer to a range of products that allow Comfort to communicate to various systems (eg PCs, LAN, 3rd party products)
UCMs consist of a baseboard with a microcontroller and firmware, and a plug in module containing the interface which fits on top.

UCMs belong to one of 2 groups;

1. Comfort Protocol UCMs
   
2. External Protocol UCMs
   
   

• UCM/ETH03 with Infrared Learner and RJ45 connector for connection to Local Area Network
  
• UCM/USB with Infrared Learner and USB interface
  

• UCM/CBUS for CBUS by Schneider
  
• UCM/KNX for KNX products
  
• UCM/Zwave for Z-Wave wireless products
  
• UCM/Velbus for Velbus by Velleman
  
• UCM/GSM for GSM/SMS
  
• UCM/Heatmiser for Heatmiser thermostats
  
• UCM/Dupline for SmartHouse/Dupline
  
• UCM/Universal for most other 3rd party systems which do not have a dedicated UCM Interface. The Universal UCM requires a AUX485, ETH03 or RS232 submodule depending on the type of interface of the other system.

I recently received an ETH03 module to replace my existing ETH02 module.  A couple of questions:

1) Can I simply install the ETH03 module on the existing UCM board that currently hosts the ETH02 module?
2) Since I use the ETH02 board to access the system via Configurator is there a way to upgrade it over the network or do I need to connect to the Comfort alarm via a serial connection in order to configure the ETH03 module?

My outputs are duplicated even the list of Ouputs shows the same number twice

Zone names, alarm names and other text should have a maximum of 32 characters, more than Comfort zones and alarm names which are limited to 16. This is provided the ENGLISH property in GSM Properties is set to YES. If the ENGLISH property is NO, then the names is limited to 16 characters because non     -english languages require 2 bytes per character

The Comfort Forums has been migrated  from the old UltraBB to MyBB which is a modern Open source Forum platform. The categories, forums, subforums and users have been been transferred to the new platform which is better supported and has many more features

The URL remains as http://www.comfortforums.com or https://www.comfortforums.com

However the passwords for the user accounts cannot be transferred, so you will have to reset your password when you log in for the first time.

The steps are:
-    Go to the forum login page.
-    Click on the "Forgot Password" or "Lost Password" link.
-    Enter your username or email address.
-    Follow the instructions in the password reset email that MyBB will send.

My system just reset itself and said something about \"key\" when it did so. I have no idea why this happened and need to look at as a next issue but currently the keypad shows each zones as it becomes active. Initially (after reset) it was calling out each zone (like walk test) but I seem to have resolved that. Now pad just showing each zone as they activate. Any advice on how to turn this off?

Setting up is easy. However note that if you use Duckdns with Lets Encrypt so that access locally and remotely by by https, Voice  PE will not work as it requires access by http for setup and operation.



You can select a preferred pipeline for processing the voice. This is done at setup but you can change it in Settings > Voice Assistants

My experience is the performance of the speech recognition is far better with Nabu Casa Cloud (which requires a subscription) compared to the local processing options, though this may be due to my accent - It may work better for european and american  voices. There may be ways to tune the speech recognition engines but I have not explored them. The Cloud processing option is also significantly faster than the local processing.

This affects new installations of Comfigurator on new PCs with new versions of Windows
Comfigurator installation requires .NET 3.5 to be installed, and will prompt for download and installation if it is not found on the PC.

When you try to install the downloaded .NET3.5 you may get a message \"a later version of .NET is already installed\" and this prevents you from going ahead with Comfigurator installation. If this happens go to Control Panel > programs and features.
Check the box for .NET Framework 3.5 shown below.


.NET 4.8 does not include .NET 3.5
The next version of Comfigurator will fix this problem or give instructions
