I am trying to create a response to change a virtual input.The virtual input is set up, along with several others.When I go to the response wizard and use Insert new action/Input/Virtual Input On/Off I get a dialogue box pop up. In that dialogue box is a drop down list for Zone.When I open the drop down list I see my physical zones and unused zones, but I do not see the Virtual input zones.Am I misunderstanding how this works, or am I missing something?Cheers

I have several Aeotec dimmer modules in my Z-Wave network, each of these nodes is mapped to a counter in Comfort.
If I look at the list of counters in Comfigurator, and tick \"Show Status\", I can see the expected values change in real time as I turn lights on/off or dim them from the wall switches.
However whenever I try and write a value to the counter, the counter status briefly changes to the requested value before reverting back to the previous state.It\'s as if the counters are \"read only\".If I try and set counter 31 to a value of 254, while the lights are switched off, I see the following messages on the UCM I/O monitor

If I view the Z-Wave node in the \"Z-Wave mapping\" tab of the Z-Wave UCM, and click \"Switch Device On\", the lights come on.So the ability to communicate via Z-Wave is OK, it seems an issue with the counters?

Hi, is it possible to reduce the announcement volume on KP04 for announcements like Security off, or disable it completely. 
Can this be done from the KP04 keypad or the telephone menu?

I have 2 UCMs with ETH03 and they are currently running at 10Mbit half duplex and I am seeing frame collisions. Will these run on at 10Mbit Full Duplex?

I have a Comfort II with a Z-wave board. I know Z-wave is being phased out - but when its working it works well for me.My Primary Z-wave controller is HomeSeer software. Comfort is a secondary controller.
I have over 40 Z-wave devices some of which are virtual devices created from Comfort.I recently added a couple of new physical devices using the primary controller. They appear and function as they should.I did a \'Learn\' in Comfort so I could uses one of the devices in a Response.The 2 new devices appeared following the LearnHowever - when I go to try and program a response the Z-wave action only shows the Basic Get Command, the Set Command is not available.Not only is not available for the new devices it has disappeared for all devices!The devices still work and I can control them using the ON and Off switches in the Z-wave mapping window.If I go back and load an earlier CCLX everything is back to how it should be!I have tried \'re-learning\' but each time the same thing happens.Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

My comfort system was working fine until we had a power cut which lasted so long that the battery backup ran out. ever since the power came back on the sunset response doesn\'t run, even though when i check the night time status flag enables at the sunset time.
i have re uploaded the file several times, and i have powered down the system and pressed the panel reset button but it still doesn\'t run. I\'m having to manually execute the response every night from the software.
any ideas?

The original Comfort 1 was replaced by Comfort 2 in 2005. 

Comfigurator 3 software supports Comfort1 .ccl files by conversion to the cclx format and allowing write and read to Comfort 1. 

Over the years more features have been added to Comfort 2 and Comfigurator which do not apply to Comfort 1, eg Partitions, Sunrise/sunset times and many others. Some of these features may cause Exceptions in Comfigurator when used with Comfort 1. 

As time goes on there will be more incompatibilities, which will be difficult to handle, and would take up time to find and fix, and this would reduce the speed of new innovations in the products, with no benefit at all for Comfort 1 users.

In order to make it easier for Comfigurator to go forward as well as prevent problems in Comfort 1, we have decided to freeze the support for Comfort 1 at the current Comfigurator 3.13.4.  For those who still have Comfort 1, please do not upgrade Comfigurator beyond this version (In any cases none of the changes in Comfiguratror should affect Comfort 1 anyway).

For installers who still service Comfort 1, please keep the Comfigurator 3.13.4 installation file so you can downgrade to 3.13.4 when you work on Comfort 1. This ensures that you do not encounter any problems with Comfort 1. To downgrade to an older version, you need to uninstall the current new version. This only takes a few minutes but it will save time in not having unexpected problems.

There is still a problem with Comfigurator 3 with Comfort 1. It causes an exception in Miscellaneous Events> Sunrise and Sunset Responses, and Door phone On and Off responses which are not supported in Comfort 1. To fix this go to File > Update Defaults. This should remove the exception.  This is an example of new features which cause problems in Comfort 1, which is why we have decided to freeze the support at this version so such things do not happen again. 


I believe very few tech companies continue to support 20 year old products like Cytech.

Hey all... I just had an anomolus event... I made several changes and I didn\'t have any problems until right at the end when I tried to transfer a new program to the panel.today 

I: - Added a RIO module, ID=1 (it\'s an old board that I brought back into service) 

- Scanned for modules in comfigurator, it found it & established comms

- Upgraded the firmware on a couple of UCM\'s - Eth, and GSM- Added a test response in SCS/RIO response 129 (On response - say a phrase)

- incremented the clock drift tuning setting from 0 to +1 as my clock has been running a bit slow- because I\'d changed a response I then tried to transfer the file to the panel 


That\'s when my issue started... the transfer begun, and almost immediately the panel went mad; sirens blaring, keypads showing intruder alert, it armed to night mode. whilst this was going on, I was constantly trying to stop arming by signing in on the keypad, but whenever I stopped a full alarm, it started again after a few seconds. 

This continued for the entire duration of the upload - which did complete after the normal amount of time. and once the transfer was complete, and the panel reset, everything went back to normal. I\'ve not repeated a transfer again, since that behavior scared the cat sh**less, and really rather annoyed the family.  

I\'ll perform another upload when I get a chance to see if this was a one-off, or if this occurs again.

Any idea why it would behave like that? - could I have overtaxed the PSU in the main panel with the added module? - would that even cause behaviour like this?... any other thoughts? TIA

I have recently been setting up the control menu.It works but the volume from my keypads when announcing the titles of the items in control menu is significantly lower then other announcements. Is there a way to adjust that volume separately?

If the firmware upgrade for the UCM failed (not the firmware upgrade for ETH93 submodule), you should immediately do the firmware upgrade again to complete itYou should not switch off or disconnect the UCM
If firmware upgrade of UCM failed you will not be able to connect as the UCM does not work anymore

If it happens again please provide a screenshot of  the error messages that were seen so we can see what was the problem
we also need to know what is the firmware version by looking at the label on the UCM controller IC eg UCM 7.xxx or UCM 5.xxx
