Hi,
Had a lightning strike in the last hour, which has resulted in all zones, reporting zone trouble. Despite the system is unarmed, opening of the back or front door results in an entry warning beeping from the keypads.I have reset the system through the keypad twice, but still all zones are reporting a fault.I have temporarily bypassed all zones and switch off the time programs, so the system doesn\'t try to arm itself, but coming up blank with what to do next. Any ideas?

In our location we have numerous power failures, which normally isn\'t a problem. But on the last two power failures an alarm state has been triggered. Security was in Security off and the only way to silence it was to do a system reset on the panel.

About a month ago I fitted a new battery as the old one was failing the battery check.

I have also been having the odd false alarm, luckily mainly on a door that doesn\'t trigger full alarm but keeps announcing door is open when not. I replaced the contact, still happened. Then I swapped the zone over and it happens on the other door on same zone. Have also had three other Zones trigger with no apparent reason, the others are PIRs

 

Any ideas at to what could be causing these issues?

Not had a lot of time with my system over the last couple of years.... work in the NHS and something has been taking our time up. Hope everyone if keeping safe and well.

Still love my Comfort system and the team at Cytech.

I am aware of Matt\'s PI interface, but haven\'t purchased it yet and not sure how easy it is to program. However, the world of smart home is exploding with many companies building loads of things that could help, but that interface between us and the equipment becomes ever more complicated.

I use comfort for many tasks, using relays, IR, z-wave, and in some cases just simple 12v outputs. The problems I have faced is new z-wave equipment is not supported by the UCM, zigbee seems to be a choice of protocol for some manufactures. I have also started to look at Hue bulbs (one at the moment they are very expensive) they just get rid of the need for hardwiring modules.


I would like to take input messages from comfort PIR, smoke detectors, dry contact switchs etc and the alarm mode status, off, day, night, away, holiday into another hub.... currently the Hubitat looks interesting as it supports z-wave, zigbee, hue which would allow me to get rid of 2 or 3 other smart home hubs, vera, smart things, Hue hub (not yet purchased).

Has anyone else looked at smart home hubs and interfacing with comfort / Matt\'s UCM? in particular I would be very interested in views on the Hubitat-C7.

Can anyone suggest how I move forward with the exploding number of smart home products and continue to have Comfort at the core of my system? Amongst other things I have been looking at Ikea electric roller blinds, but their remote is rubbish. I have a dry contact button connected to comfort to open and close my curtains..... but this won\'t work with zigbee (I think) Ikea blinds.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

I know this is a convoluted way of creating an alarm function using a RIO but due to an inability to lay further wiring to an out building, would it be possible to connect an output of a RIO directly to a zone in comfort or would I have to use a relay from the RIO output to create a Zero voltage contact to connect to the Zone: 
1)      Preferred sequence:  Sensor to RIO input. (secondary) RIO output to a Zone

2)      Alternative sequence: Sensor to RIO input,  (secondary) RIO output to a relay, relay to a Zone

This would be done on a Comfort  9000

I\'ve just discovered the massive leaps this project has made since I last looked.
I\'m still struggling on with X10 dimmers which have become even more problematic with the switch to LED lamps. My plan was to replace with Velbus but as I have 35+ X10 DIN rail dimmers and a fair few switches this would be quite a project in terms of time and expense plus there is the worry that even then the dimmers may still be problematic with LED loads.It looks like adding a UCM/PI would open the door to many other lighting technologies some of which would have been built from the ground up to support dimming of LED fixtures so I think this might be the right path.
I want to gather as much information as I can so I\'ve read everything on this forum but there\'s not that much here. I read that most of the forum traffic is on the Slack forum which was originally for beta testers and is now open however I can\'t find a link to that resource.Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Wonder if anyone can help. Had the Alarm triggered this morning, got neighbour to check there wasn\'t a problem, so tried to set to Security off remotely but could not sign in.

I just kept getting \"Wrong Code\"...tried both mine and the wife\'s code to no avail. Ended up driving home 50 Miles to reset!!


When I got home I signed in fine as usual to silence the Alarm. I then tried signing in from local phone, no problem. Then tried again from my mobile...same thing \"wrong code\".

I am using an iPhone 6, could it be the system doesn\'t like the touch tones on the iPhone? Bit stumped and cannot think what is the problem? Going to see if I can borrow another type of phone to try remotely to see if that works.

Anybody got any ideas, very frustrating not being able to dial in...I have done it in the past!!

We had a prolonged power failure where the backup batteries ran dry.  I noted that comfort time was wrong once the power was wrong, so tried connecting to CS Manager to see if anything was wrong with the SNTP Settings and then realised that CS Manager showed no entries. Everything else works, I can connect via the UCM.

First of all I have a Comfort Ultra 1 system.Yesterday I got home and saw the message light on.However when I went to check the messages I couldn\'t redeem any.
I have done a system reset through the Engineer menu but it hasn\'t fixed the problem.Now when I make a phone call to my home and Comfort answers I am asked to leave a message but no messages are being recorded on the system.

When trying to program my system, I get the following error: \"..the number od modules defined in Modules&Setting does not match the modules listed under the MOdules tab\".
My system did not change (add or remove modules).
I did a scan for all modules (pic attached).
What am I doing wrong ?
