So I  have bought one of these

Brilliant little thing - only needs 2 wires so its a really easy swap with my existing doorbell.  
IT has the capability to also sound peoples existing doorbells.
Currently - I have a basic switch at the doorbell that goes back to a comfort input - when you press it comfort plays the doorchime (along with a bunch of other stuff).
Swapping that out and using the existing wires I can supply 24v to the doorbell and all works well.


When you press the bell button the voltage drops from circa 24v down to circa 20ish volts - if you have a look at the wiring diagram ont he second page here -

you can see that that is what used to sound an existing doorbell.


What I want to find is something that sits where the mechanical chime should and changes state when the doorbell is pressed so I can monitor if the doorbell is pressed in comcfort - along with getting all the other benefits of a video doorbell.

5.  In Modbus, if Display mode is Decimal when the file is opened, when you go to the Modbus to comfort, the display is hexadecimal. To show as decimal, you must change the mode to hexadecimal and back to Decimal, then the display is in Decimal.

This causes dial out by UCM/GSM4 as priority even when the phone line is connected. By default, system will dial by fixed phone line, and when phone line is down, will dial out by GSM

I found Action Code 156 - software control for the keypad back light - whilst rebuilding my system. Ah, I thought, a nice way to elegantly control the KP lighting depending on the ambient light. Switch on when the light sensor detects dark outside and off when light outside.
Only problem is that when the pad is lit and used to login, exiting the KP automatically turns the back light off irrespective of the prior 156 ON command.
Is there a way round this so that KP use does not override the AC156?

I decided to change some of the words in the vocabulary using Voiceproc. When I tried to upload the .bin file using Comfigurator, it froze at 23% and then timed out with a failure message saying to try again. I did as instructed and it failed at exactly the same point. The keypad showed an error message saying there was no text data. I did as suggested in the Voiceproc manual and performed a sentence upload and that fixed the text problem but the keypad was speaking in garbled sentences 
e.g. \"No message\" became \"Option holiday\", \"Thank-you, goodbye\" is \"Seven zero alert\" and \"Welcome, security off\" is \"One security off.\"
I tried restoring back to the standard Myma39 vocab with identical results - it froze at 23% and the garbled sentences are exactly the same.
Looking at previous threads, I saw instances of similar failures which were resolved by downgrading/upgrading firmware but this did not work for me. Every time, it has onsistently failed at 23%.
Before I started this process, all firmware and software were on the latest versions.
I\'d be grateful for any suggestions as to how to fix this.

Hi, I use a set of responses to do an automatic Security Off in a morning (e.g. within 2 minutes of LAST activating my Upstairs PIR (if in NightMode, between 6am and 10am ), if Staircase PIR and then Hallway PIR are triggered in sequence before timer expires then auto disarm.
This has worked well for months until this weekend. I cannot figure out why it didn\'t auto disarm. It\'s impossible not to trigger the PIRs so my only theory is that perhaps Timers do not operate as I understand. 

For context this is my very simplified set of responses. The only real issue is PIR1 though

PIR1_Response:If nightmode AND DisarmStep = 0 AND Hours ok Then Do CancelDisarmCheck After 120 seconds Using NightDisarmTimer

PIR2_Response:If ... AND DisarmStep = 0 AND NightDisarmTimer <> 0 Then (i.e. if timer still going) Set DisarmStep = 1

PIR3_Response:If ... AND DisarmStep = 1 AND NightDisarmTimer <> 0 Then (i.e. if timer still going)  Execute actions to disable security now

CancelDisarmCheck:Set DisarmStep = 0  -- it\'s been 2 mins since we started the sequence, so reset step
What I wanted to confirm is, does the \"Do Response After NN secs Using TimerName\" cancel and restart the timer every time that response is triggered? I had assumed it would. That is the only thing I can think of to explain why it didn\'t work on this one ocassion - e.g. perhaps I started to walk downstairs 1 minute and 59 seconds after FIRST triggering the upstairs PIR regardless of how many times I had subsequently triggered it.

For now, I\'ve changed my PIR1 response to check if the timer is running, stop it, then re-start it, so that should work even if I misunderstand how Comfort resets/restarts timers.  

All is working fine again for now but I just wondered if anyone can confirm either way?

So, I finally took the plunge and have got rid of my landline telephone... we now have only mobiles plus some internet telephony (I have Skype for business via my employer).
As expected, comfort is obviously complaining about \"Phone trouble\"
I\'d like to leave the possibility open in future of reinstating a POTS line, as I\'m thinking about maybe getting am ATA & using a VOIP solution - My ISP even has the option, but I didn\'t think their pricing was that good, so I declined...
In the meantime, I need to reprogram Comfort to accommodate the lack of an analog phone line (I have a GSM UCM installed, so it\'s not like it\'s going to be totally cut off...)
I really should remember this, but it\'s been a fairly long time since I did any installation changes and my memory is not what it was...
So, what config changes do I need to make in Comfigurator to make Comfort happy with no analog phone line connected?

Start Entry Delay Action can be assigned to a Zone Response.
When security is armed, opening the zone (Door or Window) will start an entry delay instead of causing an Immediate alarm

There are default Responses; Start Entry Delay in Night Mode, and Start Entry Delay in Day Mode, for convenience.

This is useful eg in Night Mode for windows. If opened by accident, instead ogf causing an alarm, it starts entry delay so the user has time to disarm.

After this update arrived on my iPhone, the Smartthings Mobile app crashes when loading the dashboard.
The android version still loads up, but all my Comfort motion sensors are showing as ?

There is a thread on the SmartThings forum that attributes this problem to an invailid multiAttributeTile

Some of the common problems with implementing UCM/Modbus will be shown here

• For UCM/Modbus-ETH03 configured as Master, connecting to a Modbus Slave device, the IP address of the UCM/Modbus may need to be specifically allowed to connect to the Slave. There may be a setting on the Slave device to allow certain IP addresses, or all IP addresses to connect. If the UCM/Modbus is not able to connect, then in Comfort Server Manager, the IP address of the UCM/Modbus will be Idle, instead of Busy when it is connected.
